Ferentari is kind of an ill-famed neighbourhood. It doesn’t feature the prettiest buildings in the city and it can truly be considered a ghetto.
Things are about to change a little. For a start, the bad image of Ferentari is about to get a cleaner, more refined look. How? The Ferentari Market, only known by now as a place to buy fresh veggies, fruits, and traditional goodies, is hosting the first edition of Ferentari Jazz Fest.
We sure hope that ARCUB and Sector 5 Mayor Hood will manage to give this cultural initiative the authentic vibe it deserves. There is no doubt that a typical market is an unconventional venue for a jazz evening. And that’s exactly what makes this event so cool.
On November 11th, the festival starts with a great concert by Madalina Pasol Project, followed by a piano contest for the young musicians. The November 12th evening is owned by some pretty amazing jazz bands.
So, all you jazz lovers out there, prepare yourself for a one of a kind Jazz & Swing event. Free entry, so you’d better save some time for it in your agenda!
