I was born in the countryside, on a small farm, just a few kilometres away from Targoviste, the old capital of Romania, the place from where Vlad the Impaler aka Dracula ruled most of the time. I moved to the beautiful city of Bucharest in 2012 for my studies. I fell in love with this city also by studying about its history at the University of Bucharest, founded in 1864, where I graduated from and then I decided to stay.

During my masters program I started a job as a front desk receptionist at a beautiful family owned hotel. Shortly after, I became the day shift manager and started organizing tours for the guests. This way, I got the chance to meet some of the guides that shared their experience and we became friends. It felt so tempting. During this job I also attended the Work and Travel Experience program and got the chance to work in the United States Stowe-Vermont and Grand Marais-Minnesota) and visited many sites during our travels. I made a lot of new friends, and I felt like I wanted to share with them stories about my country and my city. This really made me take a fast and changeling decision to become a tour guide. And I don’t regret anything!

Bucharest is very eclectic. From the oriental touch and 19th century french architecture to the modern influence, all of them blending together without any straight lines to separate them. People are nice and very different. A Lot of places to hang out. You’ll never get bored.
