Ferestroika A glimpse into everyday life in communist Romania
Tour Snapshot
Are you curious what everyday life was like for ordinary people in communist Romania?
If this sounds good, then wait ’till you see the real deal. Until then, here are some highlights of this paticular tour:
The Tour in Detail
The meeting place is outside the metro station Gorjului, exit A. The flat is 5 minutes away, which allows us a short walk through the neighborhood. We will see what communist architecture and urbanism looked like in the 70s, and how it has transformed in the post-communist period.
Once at the flat, you will be able to visit all the rooms and interact with all the objects that made up the life of a Romanian during that era: clothes, food items, furniture, toys, kitchen utensils, hobby and leisure items etc.
Experience what it was like to be a guest in such a flat as your guide treats you to a snack and drink from that period and tells you historical facts and personal stories.
