Our Third Street Art Project

We are not only big fans of the fast growing street-art scene, but now we end up being right in the middle of it – we take great pride in being a part of the P_TER (“Pe Terasa”) project, a brave plan to open the gates of the “Ion Mincu” University to the entire community through distinctive events. Cultural ones, of course.

We joined forces with the University of Architecture and Urbanism “Ion Mincu”, ARCUB and Vem Lighting and start acting towards dynamic initiatives planning to sustain Bucharest 2021.

The next step? We convinced our favourite artist Saddo together with the equally fabulous Pren to work their magic. The end result? “Just” an exquisite wall painting on the inner courtyard of the University.

And as exciting at it is, this only the beginning (phase one) of the revolutionary ideas we have in mind. Phase two is scheduled for 2017 and is about painting a second, much larger wall in the same courtyard. Phase three will be the alternate painting of the two walls, every two years by different street-artists – both local and international.

Beside the great support of our partners and the incredible gifted artists we worked with, none of these would have been possible without the guests who paid a ticket to join our Alternative Tour and had the chance to see the work in progress. This is the best example so far on how the alternative tourism can be used to crow-fund street-art. Big thank you for that!

A a bit thanks to Google Ad grants for supporting our initiative!
