The Tour in Detail
Although Romania’s tradition of making and consuming wine can be traced back to Antiquity, its reputation as a wine-producing country is still pretty recent. However, Romania ranks among the first 10 wine-producing countries in Europe and many new small vineyards have appeared in the last couple of decades, with an increasing presence at international competitions, as well as on the list of award-winners.
Many vineyards offer wine tasting of award-winning assortments and trained staff to guide you through the experience. In 2023, the championship for blind wine tasting went to the Romanian team, so we are pretty good at that too.
This tour brings together Romanian traditional culture and wine-tasting on a fun one-day trip in the countryside. The day can be customized according to your wishes. Do you prefer your wine-tasting in an aristocratic mansion, a monastery or a new modern vineyard?
